About the platform
BerryWell Institute is an anesthesia education platform designed to cultivate clinical judgment. Learners work through realistic, evolving clinical scenarios, make meaningful decisions, observe what follows, reassess, and use guided reflection to examine their reasoning. BWI is designed for CRNA students, practicing CRNAs, nurse anesthesia educators, universities and nurse anesthesia programs, healthcare institutions, and simulation or clinical education teams. BWI is built for deliberate practice in clinical judgment. Learners interpret a changing situation, determine what matters, choose an action, observe the consequence, reassess, and reflect on their reasoning. It can complement an LMS or assessment resource, but it is not designed primarily to organize course content or teach from an answer key.
Learner experience
Learners begin with patient context, follow the clinical situation as it evolves, choose among available actions, observe the consequences, reassess, and close with guided reflection followed by targeted assessment. Dr. Baindu is BWI’s mentor and educator. She guides reflection after the learner’s clinical decisions, helping them examine what they noticed, prioritized, assumed, chose, and what they may carry forward into future situations. Yes. Learners can revisit completed scenarios, review alternative paths, keep private notes, and follow their progress over time.
Educators & programs
Yes. Programs and institutions can request a guided demonstration focused on their learners, curriculum, educational goals, and intended use. BWI supports a separate educator and program environment for reviewing available BWI content, learner results, program-level insights, and structured faculty or institutional input within the BWI framework. The team can demonstrate the capabilities currently available. BWI can support program-level onboarding based on the capabilities available at implementation. The team can review learner setup, reporting, and any current cohort-management options during a program conversation.
Demo & access
Use the request form on the Access & Demo page and tell us what you would like to understand. A member of the BWI team will follow up about a guided walkthrough tailored to your role and goals. Not currently. Access and program options are discussed directly so the BWI team can understand the audience, setting, and intended use before recommending a next step. Yes. Individual CRNAs and CRNA students may submit an access inquiry ahead of BWI’s public launch to learn about current availability, upcoming access opportunities, and next steps.
Technical & privacy
BWI is designed for use in a modern desktop or laptop browser. A larger screen is recommended for the learner experience. Mobile devices are not the intended format for running a full scenario. No. BWI scenarios use simulated patient information and are not intended to contain real patient data. Institutions may request current privacy and technical information as part of their evaluation. Access is authenticated and role-based, with learner and authorized educator/administrator experiences separated according to their functions.
