BerryWell Institute
Accessibility Statement
Last updated:
BerryWell Institute is committed to providing a public marketing website that is usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing part of designing, testing, and maintaining berrywellinstitute.com.
This statement applies only to the public BWI marketing website. The separate BWI simulator/learner platform is a different application and may have its own accessibility information.
1. Accessibility Target
BWI’s development and maintenance target for the public marketing Website is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.
This is a development and maintenance target, not a claim of independent certification, a VPAT/ACR, or formal third-party conformance.
2. Accessibility Practices and Testing
The Website is designed and reviewed with accessibility considerations that include:
- keyboard-accessible navigation and interactive controls;
- visible focus indicators on light and dark backgrounds;
- form labels, validation, error identification, and focus management for submission errors;
- color contrast and controls that do not rely on color alone;
- text alternatives for informative images and appropriate treatment of decorative images and icons;
- English captions for narrated prerecorded videos;
- zoom and reflow support, including testing at 400% zoom and down to a 320-pixel-wide viewport without horizontal scrolling;
- testing across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit-based browsers at multiple viewport widths; and
- automated accessibility testing combined with manual review, including screen-reader testing before public launch and as part of ongoing maintenance.
3. Media and Motion
Website videos are hosted by the Website rather than embedded from a third-party video platform. They use poster-first, click-to-play behavior, so sound or motion does not begin until you choose to play the video. Narrated videos include English captions.
4. Ongoing Maintenance
Accessibility is reviewed as part of ongoing Website maintenance and content updates. BWI and its Website provider will investigate reported barriers and address accessibility issues as reasonably practicable.
5. Accessibility Feedback and Assistance
If you have difficulty accessing information or using a feature on the Website, please contact BWI. We welcome accessibility feedback and will make reasonable efforts to provide the information you need in an alternative format or address an identified barrier.
When reporting an accessibility issue, it is helpful to include:
- the page or feature involved;
- a brief description of the issue; and
- the browser, device, or assistive technology you were using, if you are comfortable providing that information.

6. External Sites
The Website may link to external websites or to the separate BWI platform. Accessibility of a destination outside the public marketing Website is governed by the design and practices of that destination.
